【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversrequirements,testmethods,andmethodsofmarkingforchlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride)plastichot-andcold-waterdistributionsystemcomponentsmadeinonestandarddimensionratioandintendedforwaterserviceuptoandincluding180x00B0;F(82x00B0;C).Thesecomponentscomprisepipeandtubing,socket-typefittings,streetfittings,plastic-to-metaltransitionfittings,solventcements,andadhesives.Requirementsandmethodsoftestareincludedformaterials,workmanship,dimensionsandtolerances,hydrostaticsustainedpressurestrength,andthermocyclingresistance.Thecomponentscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforuseinresidentialandcommercial,hotandcold,potablewaterdistributionsystems.1.2Theproductscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforusewiththedistributionofpressurizedliquidsonly,whicharechemicallycompatiblewiththepipingmaterials.Duetoinherenthazardsassociatedwithtestingcomponentsandsystemswithcompressedairorothercompressedgasessomemanufacturersdonotallowpneumatictestingoftheirproducts.Consultwithspecificproduct/componentmanufacturersfortheirspecifictestingprocedurespriortopneumatictesting.Note18212;Pressurized(compressed)airorothercompressedgasescontainlargeamountsofstoredenergywhichpresentserioussafteyhazardsshouldasystemfailforanyreason.1.3Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.Note28212;Suggestedhydrostaticdesignstressesandhydrostaticpressureratingsforpipe,tubing,andfittingsarelistedinAppendixX1.Design,assembly,andinstallationconsiderationsarediscussedinAppendixX2.Anoptionalperformancequalificationandanin-plantqualitycontrolprogramarerecommendedinAppendixX3.1.5Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Sections9and10,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
