【摘要】:LOIreferstothemasslossofacombustionresiduewheneveritisheatedinanairoroxygenatmospheretohightemperatures.Inthecementindustry,useofthetermLOInormallyreferstoamasslossinasampleheatedto950x00B0;C.Tocombustionengineers,thetermLOInormallyreferstomasslossesinsamplesheatedtotemperaturesnormallylessthan950x00B0;C.ThesetestmethodsestablishaprocedurefordeterminingLOIvaluesforcombustionresiduesheatedto750x00B0;Cor950x00B0;C.LOIvaluesfromthesetestmethodscanbeusedbyindustriesthatutilizecombustionresiduesinvariousprocessesandproducts.Ifthesolidcombustionresidueisheatedtoestimatethecombustibleorunburnedcarboninthesample,ithasbeenshownthatLOIandestimationofunburnedcarbondonotnecessarilyagreewellwitheachotherandthatLOIshouldnotbeusedasanestimateofunburnedcarboninallcombustionresidues..Directdeterminationofunburned(combustible)carboncanbecarriedoutusingTestMethodD6316.Ifthesolidcombustionresidueisheatedtoprepareanashforthedeterminationoftheconcentrationsofmajorandminorelements,usetheheatingproceduredescribedinTestMethodsD3682,D4326,andD6349,ortheproceduresforthe750x00B0;CLOIdeterminationdescribedinthesetestmethods(MethodA).Ifthesolidcombustionresidueisheatedtoprepareanashforthedeterminationoftheconcentrationsoftraceelements,usetheheatingproceduredescribedinTestMethodsD3683andD6357.Note18212;Combustionresiduesproducedinfurnaceoperationsorothercombustionsystemscandifferfromtheashyield,asdeterminedinTestMethodsD3174andD5142,becausecombustionconditionsinfluencethechemistryandamountofash.Combustioncausesanexpulsionofallwater,thelossofcarbondioxidefromcarbonates,theconversionofmetalsulfidesintometaloxides,metalsulfatesandsulfuroxides,andotherchemicalreactions.Likewise,thex201C;ashx201D;obtainedafterignitingcombustionresiduescandifferincompositionandamountfromTestMethodsD3174andD5142ashyieldsbecauseofdifferentheatingprocedures,combustionofunburnedcarbon,anddecompositionofmaterialsintheresidue.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthedeterminationofthemasslossfromsolidcombustionresiduesuponheatinginanairoroxygenatmospheretoaprescribedtemperature.Themasslosscanbeduetothelossofmoisture,carbon,sulfur,andsoforth,fromthedecompositionorcombustionoftheresidue.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
