【摘要】:ArseniccompoundsaresuspectedtocausecorrosioninsomematerialsusedinUF6handlingequipment.Arsenicoriginatesasacontaminantinfluorspar(CaF2)usedtoproduceanhydroushydrogenfluoridewhichisusedsubsequentlyintheproductionofUF6.ThesetestmethodsareusedtomeasurethearseniccontentinUO2F2solutionspreparedfromthehydrolysisofUF6fordeterminationofconformancetoSpecificationC787.1.1Thesetestmethodsareapplicabletothedeterminationoftotalarsenicinuraniumhexafluoride(UF6)byatomicabsorptionspectrometry.Twotestmethodsaregiven:TestMethodAx2014;ArsineGeneration-AtomicAbsorption(Sections5-10),andTestMethodBx2014;GraphiteFurnaceAtomicAbsorption(AppendixX1).1.2Thetestmethodsareequivalent.Thelimitofdetectionforeachtestmethodis0.1x03BC;gAs/gUwhenusingasamplecontaining0.5to1.0gU.TestMethodBdoesnothavethecompletecollectiondetailsforprecisionandbiasdatathusthemethodappearsasanappendix.1.3TestMethodAcoversthemeasurementofarsenicinuranylfluoride(UO2F2)solutionsbyconvertingarsenictoarsineandmeasuringthearsinevaporbyflameatomicabsorptionspectrometry.1.4TestMethodButilizesasolventextractiontoremovetheuraniumfromtheUO2F2solutionpriortomeasurementofthearsenicbygraphitefurnaceatomicabsorptionspectrometry.1.5BothinsolubleandsolublearsenicaremeasuredwhenUF6ispreparedaccordingtoTestMethodC761.1.6ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
